Early 1960’s: Business started from a rented premises under the name of “ARE Galadari & Brothers

• Ice Cream business started with Lyons Brand.
• Galadari Engineering Company set up with three divisions:
    Engineering - machine shop, fabrication and marine activities
    Trucks - dealing in white trucks imported from the USA
    Automobile - started with the Kawasaki dealership
• Trading :Dealing in building materials and Gypsum hard board partitions

• Plaza Cinema was established as the single largest seating capacity Cinema house in the U.A.E
• Galadari ventured into Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration business with the Fedders Brand from USA
• In the same year Arab Emirates Bandag was incorporated , starting the rubber moulding, lining and tyres business with the Bandag franchise

• Dubai’s first 5 star Hotel – The Intercontinental was opened across the Deira Creek

• Engineering division was strategically split to form 3 different companies- Galadari Automobiles Limited, Galadari Trucks and Heavy Equipment & Galadari Engineering Works.
• Galadari Real Estate Co. was set up to manage the various properties of the Group
• Lifts Divison started with the Man Brand.
• Erstwhile Dubai Bank was established with majority shareholding held by Galadari’s

• Jumeira Trading Company started operations in K.S.A with the Galaxy brand of Ice creams

Welcoming H.H. Shaikh Rashid at the inaguration ceremony of Khaleej Times.

• The first issue of the first ever English daily news paperof the U.A.E “ Khaleej Times” was published.
• Galadari’s started the Galadari Travel Agency in Ajman with the GSA status for Air India
• Khaleej Automobiles was incorporated, trading in Isuzu Range of vehicles from Japan and Buick from USA

• Baskin Robbins Franchise for the GCC was awarded to the Galadaris
• IATA authorized travel agency “Continental Travels” was opened with Office in Deira

• Plaza building was opened as a massive commercial and residential facility overlooking the Dubai Creek

• Galadaris promoted the Galadari Hotel Lanka, a 5 star hotel in the serene and tourist haven of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
• Galadari Brothers Co LLC was established to consolidate all group companies under one umbrella

• Komatsu & JCB dealership for the U.A.E was acquired from the Abdul Wahab Galadari Group.

• Sate of the Art Man Roland Press set up in Al Quoz for the publication of Khaleej Times

• Terex Demag Middle East Co was formed as a joint venture with Terex of Germany, trading in Cranes in the UAE

• Government of Dubai becomes a shareholder in the Galadari Group.
